Family Development Programs provide Navigation, Knowledge and Support for adults that are raising children with Neurodiverse Challenges. No matter if you are just starting this journey, amid a crisis or planning for adulthood; we are here to empower you and develop a plan of success for your child and family.
Simply schedule a call with our Staff. They will speak with you about your child and suggest which programs would be a good fit. There is no no fee or obligation
Individualized Family Service is working with an Integrated Care Navigator to resolve challenges for your child and family.
You will be assigned to a Navigator that has expertise in your child's needs; meeting with them to create a plan for your child that integrates a full team of professional, educational, medical and community based resources to build wrap-around services and supports.
This program is appropriate for school based issues, severe behavioral concerns, long term planning and families in crisis.
Program is fee based
The Parent Advisory Council of Southern Piedmont invites parents and caregivers from, Cabarrus, Rowan, Stanly, Union and Iredell Counties to come together to identify needs, gaps and work together to advocate for change in our communities.
The Council meets several evenings per year.
Dinner and child care/fun activities for all ages are provided.
Membership is required, applications are available to all families.

Triple P fits the needs of every family, whether they are struggling with temper tantrums or sleeping patterns, parents in conflict with their child or with each other, or have children with additional needs, including those struggling with their mental health.
Triple P uses social learning, cognitive behavioral and developmental theory, in addition to research into risk factors associated with the development of social and behavioral problems in children. We equip parents with the skills and confidence they need to be able to manage any family issue.
Sessions are held in-person and virtual.
Grant funding is available to cover fees.
Parent Mentors are both provided and also recruited in this program. Get connected to other parents, raising a child with similar diagnosis for support and advice. Become a Parent Mentor by attending the Parent Mentor Training and give back to the next generation of parents! Trainings are held twice per year.

Four Factors of Wellness for Adults teaches a wellness philosophy that is easy to follow and apply in everyday life for yourself and your children.
Self-regulation, awareness and practicing wellness is vital to sustaining success for yourself and your child.
We focus on Mental, Physical, Social and Spiritual Wellness.
Offered several times per year in person and virtually.
Small fee for materials.
A 6 session program for caregivers of children with disabilities. We cover the challenges and stress of caregiving and provide you with realistic tools you can apply to your everyday life to make caregiving more enjoyable and less draining on your life.
Held Virtually several times per year.
Program is FREE
Give yourself a break! Bring your child, teen or young adult to one of our Respite Days. We provide a safe, fun day for your child to stay with us while you hit the "reset" button for yourself.
Held several times per year.
Small fee to cover materials and food
Project Baby Reach is for parents with babies in the NICU at Atrium Cabarrus.
Support Group is held in the Parent Center in the NICU every month.
Lunch, fellowship and resources are provided at no cost to families.
