Four Factors of Wellness

Program for ages 11-22


The Four Factors of Wellness is a great program for Tweens in Middle School, High School and Young Adults to age 22.

We will have several programs in 2024 that will teach self-awareness and strategies to keep young people well during challenging years.

The Four Factors of Wellness are:

• Mental Health Awareness

• Physical Health Practices

• Mindfulness/Spirituality

• Social Engagement


Tweens will be practicing these factors through: Art, Cooking, Games, Yoga, Music, Discussions,

Exercise and more!


Requirements for Program:

• Age 11-22

• Basic reading, writing and math skills

• Must have verbal skills

• Can follow directions


Dates: 2024 schedule coming soon!

Typically held when Cabarrus Schools have half days or several days off. 


Job and Life Skills Program

High School and Young Adult Summer Program

Participants will gain needed OCS Hours(48) and meaningful exposure to work and social skills.  Our program will be counted as "paid work hours" for OCS Students and can also be used on Resumes as Job Skills Training.


This 3 Week Program will meet 3 days a week during the summer and we will have several sessions in morning and afternoon. It is located at St. James Lutheran Church (Amazing Grace Advocacy Office).


We will meet IN PERSON as a small group of 12 Teens. We have 4 College Interns and 4 Amazing Grace Staff Members running the program. 

What we will be doing: 

  • Real life applications in Mock Environments
  • Work in a "Bank, Store, Restaurant & Office"
  • Manage your own "Apartment" and Life Skills
  • Explore systems and how to self advocate
  • Learn how to manage money/credit/checks
  • Practice job applications and interviews
  • Work through real life challenges
  • Social interactions with peers & adults
  • HAVE FUN!


Eligibility Requirements:

  •  Completed 9th grade and higher (No older than 23 years old)
  • Have a diagnosed brain disorder (IDD,ASD, or Mental Health)
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills
  • Can follow simple written and verbal directions
  • Must have verbal skills
  • Has the intent of independence and employment


Summer Program Registration

Morning Session  

9:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Afternoon session

1:00 PM to 4:00 PM


*Mandatory Parent and Participant Orientation Meeting in Spring 2024


DATES:   2024 Dates TBA

COST:  We are currently fundraising and grant writing to keep the cost below $500 for participants.
